Life In Victoria BC,........ well, it's all Duckie!

Life In Victoria BC,........ well, it's all Duckie!

Linda and I went for a peaceful little walk, just down to Beacon Hill Park,  near the Ocean in Victoria. Beacon Hill Park is one of our most Favourite Parks in Victoria, BC.

This being October 2011, and many areas in North America are reporting winter and or fall storms, we wanted to take advantage of the remaining beautiful days left in the Fall season.

We can report and confirm that everything is Duckie in the Park, and all over Victoria.
Here is a little proof for you. But don't let that stop you from visiting Victoria Soon.

Beautiful photos and I love your ducks! I stopped in where you live on the way to Alaska years ago and just loved it. You have the largest roses that I have ever seen. Very beautiful city. Enjoy. Things do seem to definitely be ducky there!!

Peter and Linda, not quite the rubber duckie race down the Nottawasaga River in the Angus Salmon Festival ;-)

Looks like you managed to get very close to them.

Peter & Linda -- Cute post.  What lovely pictures. Now is that a peacock in the tree and WHAT kind of tree is that?  It's massive!

Posted by Barbara Altieri, REALTOR-Fairfield County CT Homes/Condos For Sale (RealtyQuest/Kinard Realty Group, Fairfield and New Haven County CT Real Estate) almost 8 years ago

Hi Barbara- Jo,

We are always amazed how many Birds Call Victoria Home during the winter, some stay all winter, others use Victoria as a stop on their way.

Hi Barbara, yes that is a peacock in the tree, there where actually 2 up in that massive ancient Arbutus tree. Arbutus trees are native to the area and is a hard wood, together with Gary Oak trees they are protected species on our Island and this one is the largest one that I know of anywhere, and si likely one of the most photographed trees in our area (celebrity tree)
