How 2 Berries Turned into Aliens in Victoria BC

We are Done with Fruits, Long Live DroidsHow 2 Berries Turned into Aliens, in Victoria BC

This is a short story about how we moved from Berries to Aliens and are loving it.
Over the past months Linda and I have been looking into and spending some time playing with a good number of Mobile Options

Granted over the past 25 years we have made a big journey with mobile phones, I remember installing a bracket in my car to house the battery and send/receive unit for my 1st Radio Shack 3 watt, mobile phone, the darn thing was so heavy, that it actually came with a shoulder strap. (that device now is holding down a tent in a friends back yard, and doing a fine job at it.)
We are Done with Fruits, Long Live Droids
Next was the Motorola "Brick", wow such an improvement, really........ You could (almost) put it in your jacket pocket, but off course a lady would not want to be caught dead with one, as they could not fit in any purse.

Next was the first "flip" (still analog) phone also Motorola, that one was a ready game changer, as for the first time, it was a phone for everybody, really.

After it, there was a succession of types and models, eventually giving us our Berries, the Blackberries we have enjoyed for the past 3 years.

They have served us well, however, time has come for our Berries to squeeze out their final juice, and to send them off to the cellular land beyond reception and roaming, the land in which all calls are free forever, to a land which we have named "Fruitopia" The land where berries and apples retire and live out their final battery lives as toys for the kids or music players.

Because there is a New Kid on the block called "Droid"    A. N. Droid, is the name, and s/he is COOL... and knows it too....., these things, oops, Mobile Devices, are so smart, they finish my words, and knows stuff about me before I even touch it....
In the first 24 hours of owning it, we are both just in awe over the amount of stuff you can do and combine just by being on the same platform (andriod/google and our CRM)  and did I mention ..... they are way COOL or Hot, .......what is the buzz word for Pfanntastic this month?

I love my android and I get my cell service at a fraction of what a Iphone would have cost monthly, it was hard to break away from my crackberry.

I had a brick also.  It survived things my BB would never handle.  Don't have a 'droid yet but considering it.

Peter and Linda, I had a 3 watt car phone back in the 80's and I never had a dropped call...  I too, am considering retiring my blueberry for an iphone or a 'droid

Hi Chris,

we remember it well, I kept the bulky thing for a while but let it go recently, we went with droid for its ability to be compatible with so many other systems we use already
