Greater Victoria Schools Report Card

Greater Victoria Report Card on SchoolsGreater Victoria Schools Report Card

Report Cards on Greater Victoria Elementary and Secondary Schools.....
Recently the Fraser Institute, an independent non-profit research and educational organization in Canada, completed 2 highly anticipated research projects about the comparative quality of our Elementary as well as Secondary schools in British Columbia.

In the USA, this information is very readily available from independent as well as commercial sources, however in Canada we have to rely on amazingly resourceful, and independent The Fraser Institute, to provide the general public with this very valuable information.

The Fraser Institute on their website provides access to the entire report that includes all regions of British Columbia, as well as the other Provinces.

For the Benefit of our Readers that are either living in the Greater Victoria Area, or that are hoping to relocate to the Greater Victoria Area, we have included the links to the 2 relevant reports for both the Elementary Schools as well as the Secondary Schools in Greater Victoria.

It is without question an eye-opener to review these reports and compare the various schools and educational options that may be available to you in the Greater Victoria Area.

We would not want to draw conclusions from the reports, however it would appear that exploring Independent schooling would be the way to go if at all an option for you.

The cost and affordability considerations are important and as such additional research by each
Greater Victoria Schools Report Cardsfamily may very well be required, but in overhearing an interview earlier this week, researchers from Fraser Institute indicated that many of the private or Independent schools are very reasonably priced, and are possibly within your budget...

Our gratitude and appreciation are extended to the Fraser Institute for publishing these excellent reports and their Elementary and Secondary School Report Cards. Peter and Linda Pfann, hope that you will find this information useful and beneficial to your own family or the family of a friend or loved ones....

I often get consumer calls who ask for

A good deal.
Homes in a low price range.
The best schools.

Impossible.  Homes in the best school districts have a premium price.

I'm not saying that it's the way the market should work.
I'm just saying, that's the way it is.

Selling your home in Victoria? Home buyers often look first at school districts, then at neighborhood amenities and only THEN do they consider homestyles.

Pfone the Pfanns to help you sell your property. They know how to showcase not only your home but the community at large. That's what it takes to make your property stand out above the rest.

Hi Lenn,

You are so correct, that many families will ask for the quality of the area schools to see if the general location will be worth considering.  Thanks for your insight and feedback.

Hi Steve and Jan,

thanks for your comments and support, it is very much appreciated. The ability to compare the long term quality and results of each schools in each of the 3 school districts, is very helpfull and the reports by the Fraser Institute are (in our eyes) therefore essential for families with kids to determine where to focus their attention if and when planning to make a move.

Peter and Linda, it's amazing how many people really just assume that all schools are the same and that their kids will be alright wherever they go. Nothing could be further from the truth, there really are some great schools in our country and there are also some mediocre ones. If more parents were aware of this and got involved in a hands-on-manner with the schools that their children attend it would really benefit the entire community. These children are our future and they deserve all the help they can get.

HI Malcolm,

Thank you for your comments and Feedback, you are so correct, and it is very much the prmise of the reports by the Fraser Institute to not just point fingers, but to offer suggestions for parents to get involved and find ways to improve the overal quality and results from the educational experience for our kids... Unlike many of the reports we have seen before

The reports by the Fraser Institute name each school and the rating over the past 5 to 10 years, which is very helpfull to recognize trends and direction, so if a school is either remaining at a below or average level, it may be time for parents to find ways to get more involved with the reasons why, and how to find improvements in the results.
